IT TAKES TWO : CUSTOM MAP
Face an external conflict together in a space either they know or feel familiar to them.
In this level, let’s talk about stress, Isolation,...
May and Cody will have to do some work on themselves before they can find each other again.
The level takes place in the cellar of the house, mushrooms, dusts, pipes, mechanisms are the elements with which May and Cody will be able to interact.

PROJECT CONTEXT

By setting the level in the cellar/workshop of the house, the characters already know the place.
The aim is to have them discover this same place from another POV.
FAMILIAR

The two characters must help each other to move forward.
Without the help of the partner, the other person remains stuck, alone.
The main objective is to trust one another completely.
TRUST
The characters do their work and regularly make progress on their own.
This reinforces the idea of finding each other at the end of a level sequence.
SEPARATION

Cody can enter the shadow on every surface to go everywhere if he is still in, but need May to get out of shadows.

Pipes are safe areas for May and Cody.
They also serve as a transfer between areas.
PIPES
The realization of this personal project allowed me to deepen and use my knowledge of the Unity engine and the use of ProBuilder.
It Takes Two is one of my favorite games, which is why I decided to create a map with new mechanics, taking up the codes of level design thanks to an analysis of the existing game.
In conclusion, I really enjoyed working on this map and improving my skills.

The purpose of this vista is above all to enable the player to visualize in advance the area in which he will later evolve.

The level design goal was to create a linear level where May and Cody work together to complete the level.
The level is divided into several phases to manage the tension and the time the players spend apart and together.
